7 random tips before ur Holi Splash!

Holi is celebrated
with a spirit of camaraderie n love.

Our skin needs love too.

With a little bit of love n care we can make sure that our skin glows happily.

While playing Holi' apart from harsh colors, sun-exposure can also have harsh effects on the skin. It makes the skin dry, itchy and flaky.
Both the skin and hair can become dry and dull after playing Holi.

So......??????

Relax!! :)

Just take 2 minutes off for the sake of ur pretty self!

1)Apply sunscreen and moisturiser 20 minutes prior to ur Holi splash so it settles down n minimises the chances of the harsh colors entering ur pores.

2)Luvv to look groomed all da time?
No need to compromise on da glamor factor ! J
Use light day make-up.

3)Apply Kohl to ur eyes, (optional)

4)on ur lips use Lip Gloss or plain Chapstick.

5)DO NOT FORGET to oil ur hair as this will make life easier for u while removing da colors.

6)Don’t forget ur perfume. J

7)And if u can’t do without ur precious cell phone at least waterproof it with a cover!

Now,
the real problem: getting the colors off ur face!!

Don’t fret!

Use a cleansing cream or lotion.

Apply this on the skin and massage it. Then wipe off with moist cotton wool. Remember to cleanse the area around the eyes too, using a light touch. A cleansing gel helps to dissolve the colours and facilitates their removal.

**You can also make your own cleanser. Take half a cup of cold milk and add one teaspoon of any vegetable oil, like "til," olive or sunflower oil. Mix well. Dip cotton wool into this mixture and use it to cleanse the skin on the face and body.

**Sesame seed (til) oil actually helps to counteract sun damage. While bathing, scrub the body with a loofah and remember to apply a moisturiser after your bath, while the skin is still damp. This helps to seal in moisture.

Enjoy ur Holi to da fullest !

Green Holi Splash!!!

*Childhood memories are precious to everyone. Most of us still rave about our best holis that date back to our school or college days. And I am guessing even you must be having some memories attached to Holi.

*I am no exception either. I still remember how my besties and I would eagerly wait for Holi. We used to compare our colors and make sure we had a host of all possible colors available and more than enough of it!

*Thanks to our awesome parents, we had da most fancy water-guns as well. Just soooooo much fun we had hurling water-balloons at each other.

*Little did we know about d ill effects of synthetic colors . Not only does it spoil our skin, it even has adverse effects on d environment.

*Thankfully for lovers of the fest of colors like us, organic colors are now available. I have been using them from the time I became aware of the harsh effects of synthetic colors.
*You will get eco-friendly colors at any of da general stores and supermarkets.

*So let’s pledge to have an eco-friendly and “supperdhamaal” Holi this year.
